Problems posting to the forum

Anybody having trouble posting to the Language Resources forum? I've submitted a post twice and it appears to go through but then doesn't show up on the forum page.

  • I think I know what happened... I deleted all the hypertext links in my post and it went up no problem. FYI.

  • I had the same issue a while back. If I tried to post a link using the link tags in reply box it wouldn't go through. Once I tried just pasting the URL into the post without using the link tags my post went through just fine.

I've also noticed several times when the information on the main forum page here https://fluent-forever.com/forum/#.VCvRXvldV8E about when the last post was made in a sub forum does not match up with what is actually there when you enter the sub forums.

  • I just came across this blurb which seems to explain the issue.

Note: For anti-spam reasons, if you put a link in your post, it will be moderated. Post *another* comment (without any links) referring to your other comment and I will look through the moderation queue and save it from certain doom

It's located on the page about Transposh translations here: https://fluent-forever.com/transposh-translations/#.VCx35PldV8E

Note to Gabe or whoever the webmaster is, it would probably be a good idea to give the user some obvious feedback that that is what needs to happen in order to avoid confusion.

  • Heh, I just saw that a post containing a link that I tried to make in this thread (https://fluent-forever.com/forums/topic/latin-american-spanish-eta/#.VDMAB_ldV8E) on Sept. 23rd just showed up yesterday, Oct. 5th.

If you can scroll up in the thread you can see where I finally gave up on the embedded link and just made my post by pasting the link inline.
