Streaming " NETFLIX " style Spanish (or other target lang) content ??

When we purchase DVDs, there are often additonal language tracks that have been created and are available to use. But, when I use Netflix, these same titles are only available in English. Does anyone know of a way to access different languages on Netflix? Or, may there be a site, similar to Netlilx, where for a monthly fee, we can stream movies and shows in different languages from here in the US ?

  • just google "Spanish movies" and you'll get a lot of hits, including on netflix, amazon, etc.

  • I agree with James. If you do a bit of searching you should be able to find a ton of stuff in Spanish. I'm studying Mandarin and I have found sites that let me watch all sorts of Chinese media including movies and television shows. I even found that there is a Mandarin version of Dora the Explorer. :)

  • I forgot to add that there is a book (available on Amazon at least) called The Telenovela Method: How to Learn Spanish Online Using Spanish TV, Music, Movies, Comics, Books, and More

There is a blog by the author, Andrew Tracey on howlearnspanish (.com)

He has lots more information on free sites and downloads and how to use them. His book is only for kindles, but you can get kindle readers on almost anything. Or just explore his site.

  • just saw an ad that might interest you. There is a site called Spanish.yabla.com with a lot of Spanish content and the possibility to download video on multiple devices. (They also have other languages...)

  • Hi @Hacksaw ... I'm interested in tracking down video/movie resources for getting started on Mandarin exposure – initially at a rather basic level, if possible. Are such sites obvious (e.g. via a Google search), or could you possibly jot down a few URLs?

I'll be happy to provide some links to stuff that I've found useful. I'll do it in another thread so as not to hijack this one.
