Hi, My wife and I started to learn Swahili. We created a lot of cards BUT we can't get sounds on Forvo.... a lot of words are missing there. Do you know another ressources where we can find these sounds ?

  • Thank you. On Rhinospike, there is just 3 words in Swahili. On Forvo, I requested a LOT of words, even if someone already asked for a lot too

  • How about paying someone e.g. on italki, to make the recordings for you? Or you can call them on a Skype call, ask them to read the word list, and record the call. I had a quick look and saw at least three native speakers, and their rates are very reasonable ($8 or so USD per hour). www.italki.com

  • Or maybe you could make some kind of deal where you pay them by the hour via italki, and they make the recordings in Forvo. That would result in shorter files for you to work with, and benefit a lot more people!
