Looking for Cebuano / Visayan Anki decks -- anyone?

I've started creating an Anki deck for the first 625 words. Its a long process to look up the Visayan words - even if they exist! Has anyone done this already? I'm looking for the Visayan / Cebuano words/phrases for the 625 words, so I can then create my own decks - or even someone else's decks so I have a better starting point to customize them for my learning. Thanks

  • Hey, how did you go this task?

I'm about to start the same process. I'm based in Australia and have a growing team of people I work with in the Cebu region and visit with them every few months and plan to learn Visayan over the coming 6 months.

Now working on flashcards for ear training, then I'll move onto the word list...

    Thanks in advance.

  • I finished making flash cards for the 625 and learned them all. I continued to make Anki cards for hundreds more common words. Also I'm in the middle of making cards for 'fill in the blank' for word usage, grammer, etc. Good method to get you started.

  • I am beginning the process of learning Visayan / Cebuano and am looking for any tools and resources to improve the process. I've been a little frustrated so far finding resources.

Before my previous trip to the Philippines I mistakenly spent six months studying Tagalog/Filipino and while I benefited from the experience, I had to abandon Tagalog until I get a better grasp of Visayan. Tagalog will come second.

I am an English speaker...and unfortunately like many English speakers, monolingual...so far.

    Thanks for any pointers!

  • Any chance you can share those? I'll add my own pictures to help my memory, but the words would help.

  • I don't mind sharing with an individual... but, "benspragge" with no picture, who are you? Are you really trying to learn, or just take what you can get from me and sell it to others?

  • Lol, not at all! But I understand your concern. I'm one of 2 Ben Spragge on the internet so it wouldn't be hard to find me. Not sure how to add a picture, it's not under settings that I see. I'm doing a mission trip to Cebu, and the cards would be super helpful! Let me know. Btw my email is my name at gmail.

  • Hi, I recently discovered Anki. I want to be able to speak in my family's native language. I don't know if anyone can still see this, but can I get access to the cards? Thank you!

  • Hello, I'm a native Tagalog speaker. Also interested in learning one of our main dialects here in the Philippines but I'm lacking resources and there's not really any formal education to learn Bisaya/Cebuano. I'd really appreciate it if the deck was shared to me. Salamat ng marami :( ♡

  • Hello! It's been months but can you please share it with me too? I, too, am wanting to learn my family's native language. It's frustrating because I can understand 60%, so I'm only halfway there..
