Hi there Anki experts,
I am actually having the same issue with Anki as this person described here: https://help.fluent-forever.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360017931132-If-making-too-many-new-cards-oldest-ones-are-never-seen
When I make cards in large batches, then the most recent cards I made show up first. And then if I make another large batch of cards without completing all of my "New" cards, then some cards never even get seen. The person above described it best. Anki shows new cards in "last in, first out" order, rather than "first in, first out".
The work around I am currently using is putting the "New Cards, Order" setting to "Show new cards in order added". However, if I make a bunch of new grammar cards based on the same sentence, then I see that sentence repeatedly. After seeing that sentence once, then I will already know the answer to the next question based on that card.
So, ideally, I would like to see the oldest "new cards" and see them in random order. Is that possible? Is there a workaround, or is this a feature that Anki needs to add?
