Summary: It could be for a number of reasons.

Your streak continues as long as you complete the Daily Streak Task each day before midnight in your local time zone. If that task isn’t finished, the streak resets the next day.

This can sometimes feel confusing — you might spend time in the app, create cards, or study lessons, but if the specific Daily Streak Task isn’t completed, the system won’t count the day.

Here are some common reasons a streak can break:

  • Not finishing the Daily Streak Task on time
The task needs to be completed before the day ends (tracked at 3 a.m. local device time). You’ll find it on the Home screen marked with a 🔥 flame icon, and it may change from day to day.

  • Forgetting to log in
Without opening the app and completing the streak task, progress won’t count. You can set up study reminders in your app settings to help.

  • Using an unsupported device
Please use a supported smartphone only (iOS: iPhone running iOS 14.0 or later / Android: Smartphone running Android 8.0 or later).

  • Switching between devices
Moving between multiple devices (e.g., iPhone and iPad) can prevent streaks from syncing properly. To be safe, stick to one supported device.

Losing a streak can feel discouraging, but remember, the real progress is in the learning you’re doing each day.

You can always start building a new streak right away, and every session adds to your momentum.
