Minimal pairs

  • Front: Two words with similar sounds with audio, for example “peine” and “pen”, with the prompt “Which sound do you hear?”
  • Back: Confirms which sound you heard

Sound recognition

  • Front: “What sound does this make?” with an example like “p as in pavo” and images for recall
  • Back: Plays the sound

Spelling cards

  • Front: “What’s the spelling for this word?” where you type your answer
  • Back: The correct word with images

Target language word recognition

  • Front: A single word in the target language with “What’s this?”
  • Back: The same word in the target language with an image

Picture to word

  • Front: An image with “What’s the word for this picture?”
  • Back: The word in the target language

📖 Grammar cards (sentences)


Vocabulary recall

  • Front: A word or image with “What’s this?”
  • Back: The answer

Fill in the blank

  • Front: A sentence missing one word, with images and the prompt “Fill in the blank
  • Back: The full sentence in the target language with images

Word order

  • Front: A sentence missing a word, with no indication of where it goes, plus an image. For example “Where does ‘is’ go in this sentence?
  • Back: The full correct sentence with images

Dictionary form

1 - Base verb recognition

  • Front: The unconjugated verb alone
  • Back: The answer

2 - Dictionary form in context

  • Front: A sentence missing a verb, plus an image, with “What is the dictionary form of the missing word?”
  • Back: The full sentence with images, showing the base verb as the answer
